The KWVS Exists Festival was a really successful event tonight! Organizers say the festival “is driven by inclusivity, creativity, and community.” I had the opportunity to do a couple of readings in the Pepperdine amphitheater and audience response was good.
Here’s what organizers said they were hoping to do: We simply want to do two things: create a welcoming environment for students to express themselves and truly feel comfortable on campus, and to provide an outlet for the great talent that so many of our students are capable of sharing but rarely have the opportunity to display in one place.
In traditional KWVS fashion, the festival had plenty of food, record and ticket giveaways, games, and a social media photo op wall.
We were all encouraged to get rid of our egos and get weird on campus like never before.
